Luftschutz Dienstbuch (Air Raid Protection Service
Luftschutz - Dienstbuch Zugliech Personalausweis (Air Raid Protection Service Book and Personal Identity Document) issued to Oskar Kraus on the 3rd November 1941 in the district of Dusseldorf. The 32 page booklet is in sound clean issued condition with all correct stamps and signatures. With the document are three small personal photographs presumable of Kraus with family and fellow uniformed members of the Luftschutz.
Air Crew Europe Star.
The Air Crew Europe Star, an original example of this most coveted of all the Second World War stars. The medal is in excellent condition complete with its original ribbon. Awarded for operational flying from UK bases over Europe for a period of two months between September 1939 and June 1944.
Air Crew Europe / Air Efficiency Medal Group.
Air Crew Europe / Air Efficiency medal group to 751953, Sgt E.D Carrick RAFVR. Group comprises 1939 - 1945 Star, The Air Crew Europe Star, 1939 - 1945 War Medal, 1939 - 1945 Defence Medal, Air Efficiency Award (George VI). The Air Efficiency Award is clearly named to 751953 Sgt E.D Carrick RAFVR. All medals are in very good condition with original ribbons. Air Efficiency Award was granted for 10 years efficient service in the Auxiliary and Volunteer Air Forces of the United Kingdom.
Elementary Flight Training School Cap Badge
A scarce wartime Canadian Elementary Flying Training School instructors cap badge. Embroidered maroon maple leaf, EFTS lettering to centre on blue cloth backing. In very good unissued condition. The British Commonwealth Air Training Plan was formed in December 1939 to address the need for aircrew training to meet the needs of the Commonwealth. Although not limited to Canada the great majority of schools and graduates were trained in Canada.
R.A.F 1941 Pattern Flying Boots.
R.A.F 1941 Pattern Flying Boots, brown suede boots with fleece lining these being the later version with the additional leather ankle strap to overcome the issue of the boots falling off during a parachute decent. The boots are in good used condition, no size marking but I believe approx. size 8?. zips in working order although a little stiff in use, the fleece lining is slightly worn but complete, the foot section rubber coating is good. Overall a good sound pair of used boots.
